After becoming a mother at 22, my natural ability to nurture was important to me. I have always had a connection with holistic therapies, often saving up my money as a teenager to have a massage. Touch is an incredibly powerful thing. There will always be a hug waiting for you if you want it, here at Omazing Grace Holistic and Sound Therapies. Did you know that hugging for someone for 20 seconds releases the body's natural happy hormones – Oxytocin. There are 1440 minutes in a day….There is always time for a hug!
After my daughter was born, I trained in Indian Head Massage and fell in love with be able to give treatments as well as receive them! Training further in Swedish Massage and Reflexology and am proud to have distinctions in both.
My real joy is being able to make a difference to someone's life,
whether it be just for an hour or even longer. Reflexology has made a big
impact on my life where I have been able to treat family members for varying
reasons and make an impact.
3 years ago I felt my own journey really begin. I fell in love with Sound therapy. The first time I was introduced to it was having done my Reiki 2, my reiki master took us for a sound bath at the Shekinasram centre in Glastonbury. Sound bath I hear you say? Sitting in a bath with sound? No, there are no physical baths involved more being bathed in sound. It was wonderful, a little over powering at first but once I realised I had to acknowledge the sound and let go of the pain I was feeling, all was good.
About 6 months later a friend of mine invited me to an all night gong bath! All night! I went with a friend who hadn’t been before either and I think I can happily say it completely changed our lives! The peace that was found was immense. Ever since I have been attending weekly sound meditations of gong and singing bowls and have renamed Mondays to Magic Mondays! No longer do I feel a sense of dread when thinking of a Monday – It sets me up nicely for the week.
I have recently been introduced to tuning fork therapy and spent a week with the amazing Debbi Walker of Suara Sound Academy. To say it was even more life changing and life affirming doesn’t even do it justice! Everyday we were introduced to new tuning forks and they have had the most profound effect. Being a mother and a therapist is my passion, I look forward to welcoming you to my treatment room.
Love having reflexology . Looking forward to having one of the longer pamper sessions next month. And the addition of a hot tub is brilliant!
